Camp dates and themes include:
July 10 - 14
Morning: Interactive Engineering

What is Engineering? Our students will use the Engineering Design Process to help solve problems and participate in hands-on challenges to explore construction, aerodynamics, structures, forces, and circuits. They will discover that they have the talent and potential for designing and improving technologies. Camp for Kids in Grades 3-5 and 6-8.
Coding: Scratch Coder
Intro to Scratch teaches programming
concepts such as sequences, loops, iterative development, and debugging using a
modern, block-based approach. Students create animations and videos to share
with friends and family. Camp for Kids in Grades 3-5 and 6-8.
July 17 - 21
Morning: Digital Media
Afternoon: Robot Inventors
Digital Media is all around us. A blend of technology and content across multiple platforms. In Digital Media Camp, campers work together on inter-disciplinary projects so they can explore a variety of tools including 3D Printing, GarageBand, and Scratch. Your young media enthusiast will become proficient with the tools and skills needed to express themselves creatively. We guide them through the creative process, focusing on the creative process, focusing on the content that's important to them. Camps for kids in grades 3-5 and 6-8.
Engineering: Robot Inventors
Design multiple prototypes to find the most effective way to move a robot without using wheels or test the efficiency of two different grabber designs. In Robot Inventors Camp, you get to combine colorful LEGO building elements, easy-to-use hardware, and an intuitive drag-and-drop coding language based on Scratch. Let our Instructors and SPIKE Prime engage your child through fun, real-world learning activities to think critically and solve complex problems. Let your kids become the innovative minds of tomorrow! Camp for Kids in Grades 3-5 and 6-8.
Please Note: Camp details will be emailed the week before camp begins. Given the size of the UNCA campus, the safety of campers is our top priority. There will be a specific drop-off/pick-up location on the UNCA campus. A uniformed Zaniac instructor will meet the campers at the drop-off location, escort campers directly to the camp location, and then at the end of camp will escort campers back to the pick-up location.
