Citizen-Times: New after-school program features STEM, LEGOs, Minecraft

An after-school program coming to Asheville uses LEGOs, Minecraft, 3D printing, fashion design and more to interest students in science, math and technology.

Zaniac, a nationally branded STEM after-school enrichment center, will open its first North Carolina campus on April 19.

The Zaniac Asheville Campus is located in Biltmore Park Town Square at One Town Square Boulevard, Suite 120.

Zaniac offers programs and camps that get kids excited about math and technology while preparing them for 21st century jobs.

Zaniac’s fun enrichment programs engage kids in creative, conceptual problem solving that builds confidence and helps them succeed in school by nurturing their love of learning.

Popular programs include Zaniac Robotics: LEGO, Game-Based Learning: Minecraft, 3D Printing, App Creation, Fashion Design and Computer Programming.

The colorful campus features glass-walled classrooms with white boards and large multimedia screens, as well as a variety of tools to engage students in real-world applications of STEM subjects.
