We built Zaniac to engage K-8 students around the world in supplemental science, technology, engineering, and math education – giving them the skills and motivation they need to create a better future. Our programs are designed from the ground up to prioritize fun, active engagement, and an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to problem solving. Zaniac is an inclusive learning environment and welcomes children with special cognitive / physical abilities or on the spectrum. We meet with parents to discuss a learning plan and provide the best possible learning experience for every child.
Working with a trained Zaniac instructor, students use an online, interactive science-based reading program called Readorium. This award-winning program provides a deep and personalized learning experience for each child. Highly motivating and engaging, this program is automatic and intuitive, based on a child’s reading comprehension level. A digital librarian explains the program, and kids earn Readorium dollars, medals and tokens to view a cool science-based digital magazines or view science-based videos. Students gain subject-matter expertise, improved reading skills, and an expanded vocabulary. Readorium gets kids to interact with the whole book. For grades 3-8
In 3D Game Design, students learn to design and program every element of their own game including game mechanics, three-dimensional animations, character models, and much more. Learn to use Blender 3D modeling software, Gimp image editing software, the Unity game engine, and the C# programming language.
Game Design bolsters creativity, emphasizes collaboration and strengthens 21st century skills like problem solving, innovation, and critical thinking. Don’t just play games, bring them to life.
Atmospheric Science and Natural Disasters. Surviving the fury of mother nature can be a challenge. Be a meteorologist for the day and experience what it takes to determine our weather. Explore the powers of our twisting, shaking, moving earth as we use hands - on activities to explore the power of tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes and volcanoes. Test your skills at constructing a home that will withstand the fury of mother nature. Will your house survive the wind test? We will also be looking at the effects of our actions on our changing climate.

Dash Bot and our Zaniac instructors teach you to code with Blockly!
Learn the basics of using the Blockly coding language with some help from our robot Dash! Oh, and our most awesome Zaniac instructors, too! Blockly is an intuitive and visual way to learn how to code. Use Blockly to make emojis and gifs! Blockly editor uses interlocking, graphical blocks to represent code concepts like variables, logical expressions, loops, and more. Generate Blockly code and use your new skills for game-based coding challenges, as well as building and programming robots. For grades K-8
Redstone is the circuit equivalent in Minecraft that allows students to use electrical engineering concepts to create complex machines such as a clock or a calculator. In Zaniac’s Redstone Lab program, students will learn about inputs, outputs, logic gates and more through the latest version of Minecraft. Using their creativity and critical-thinking skills, students will help scientists solve electrical challenges throughout the laboratory. For grades: 3-8

Watch your STEAM Skills Take Off!
The intersection of engineering and computer science takes flight with Drones! We invite students of all skill levels to learn about drones with Zaniac! In Zaniac’s Drones program, students will use creativity and critical-thinking skills to successfully engineer the design and code behind two drone models. Students will understand nature’s influence on the technology and the design of drones. Explore physics and geometry to understand how the anatomy of a drone supports its course of flight and how to program their drone with block programming commands to pilot their drone's flight path. By combining these concepts, students will complete a variety of hands-on challenges and understand the real-world applications of drone technology. For grades 3-8
